Many dedicated people serve, giving hours of their time and working hard in all sorts of different areas within the life of Jubilee. These excellent volunteers are overseen by a leadership team, which includes 4 Elders and a number of other leaders. This team is led by Graham Pyman, who works full time on behalf of Jubilee. Rupert Hurley stepped down from this team in July 2023.
Graham is married to Sarah, and they have 4 school aged children. He leads the leadership team and also serves on the ChristCentral Churches apostolic team. He is Chair of Governors at a large secondary school in Derby. Before working full-time for Jubilee, he was the General Manager of a company specialising in church sound and audio-visual systems. Graham occasionally blogs at www.grahampyman.com. Sarah & Graham are also foster carers for Derby City Council, and as well as caring for children, work with the local authority on recruitment and supporting other carers. Sarah leads our Smile team, which runs a respite facility for children with additional needs as part of our LoveDerby initiative.
Rai is married to Baksho and they are of Indian descent, they have 3 children in their early twenties. He is a Production Supervisor for a Caterpillar company named Progress Rail in the manufacture of railway. Rai & Baksho serve on our Welcome and Set Up teams and also help plan & lead our evangelistic and outreach events.
Adam is married to Rachel and they have 2 young children. He is the Digital Director of Greendog Media, a creative digital agency based in Derby. Adam leads one of the worship bands and is part of the Sunday morning team at Jubilee. Adam & Rachel oversee one of our Children’s work teams.
Tim is married to Jenny and they have 2 daughters. He is a Speech & Language Therapist working in rehabilitation. Tim & Jenny lead Rezound, the youth work at Jubilee and are also part of our worship team.
David is married to Katherine and they have two young daughters. He works full time for Jubilee as our Operations Manager; overseeing Admin, Communications and Events. David also serves the ChristCentral team in similar areas. Katherine is a GP and works for one of the many GP practices in Derby.
Fiona is married to Richard and they have two school age children. They run a local charity (Hope City Furniture), which provides good quality furniture and household items free of charge to those who have been rehoused due to experiencing a sudden or unexpected crisis. Fiona oversees LoveDerby which is an initiative run by Jubilee Church to demonstrate our love for Derby in practical and tangible ways. Four times a year instead of meeting in our usual venue, we spend time out in the community, serving our city. You can find out more about LoveDerby here.
Naomi is married to James and they have three energetic and talkative school age boys! She works part time for Jubilee as a Pastoral Assistant and James is Assistant Head in a local secondary school - they also work alongside each other in their photography business. Together Naomi and James oversee our Worship & Production teams and are also LifeGroup Leaders.
