Everyone needs a community to be part of and we believe that small groups form an ideal way in which we can enjoy community and build friendships. We have two types of small groups; LifeGroups and Termly Groups, and they are at the very heart of Jubilee Church.
We have run LifeGroups as a church since our very early days, in fact Jubilee grew from a small group of people meeting in a front room. Over the last 6 months we have been reviewing how we operate LifeGroups as a church community and alongside our group leaders have been discussing how we can bring some fresh life and vitality into our groups. Therefore from September 2024 we will be moving to LifeGroups and Termly Groups.
Both types of groups run on a termly basis and will usually run for approximately 8 sessions over the course of a term.
LifeGroups - Our LifeGroups normally consist of around 8-10 people who enjoy being with each other (sometimes by eating together!), who worship God and study the Bible together, and reach out to others. They meet in various places across Derby & the surrounding areas, and in time, we hope to have multiple groups across various localities.
Termly Groups - Our Termly groups will look at a variety of themes. They will usually involve some form of pre-prepared teaching material which will focus in on a particular subject.
To help us manage numbers, you will need to sign up for a group each term (even if you are staying in the same one).
