Whatever the merits and faults of the various platforms available many adults & young people in our society make use of social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc.) on a daily basis. Many use them to keep in touch with friends and family as well as co-workers, the wider world and also causes they care deeply about. These social media platforms are also forums where people feel able to voice their thoughts, feelings & emotions.
In order for Jubilee to be relevant and engage with those around us and to seek to be of influence in this area of people’s lives, we want to make the most of the opportunities social media gives us.
As a result, you will find that in any of our meetings or events there may be people who are either employed or volunteer to take photos and/or write quotes and commentary on the meeting for the purposes of internet, social media, publicity and advertising.
If you would prefer not to be included in any photos or videos it may be best for you to sit further back in the meeting, as most photos taken with faces identifiable will be taken from the front of the meeting. There may be photos taken from the back but no faces included of the congregation. Where our meetings are video recorded, they may be made available online. If you would prefer not to be seen in these videos it would be best for you to situate yourself behind the camera so as to avoid being captured on film.
Alternatively, if you would prefer not to have photos or videos taken of you, please do just let the photographer, and/or a member of the welcome team know. If you are concerned and would like to contact Jubilee please click here.
For the avoidance of doubt, we will not be using photographs or video which includes children without parent’s prior consent.
To ensure the privacy of individuals and children, images will not be identified using full names or personal identifying information without written approval from the photographed subject, parent or legal guardian.
Any person or organisation not affiliated with Jubilee may not use, copy, alter or modify Jubilee photographs, graphics, videography or other, similar reproductions or recordings without the advance written permission of Jubilee Church Derby.
NB. as part of the registration process for our Children's work parents are asked to confirm whether they are happy for photos to be taken of their children during Jubilee events
