Join us as we re-commence in-person gatherings with Jubilee Outdoors. Jubilee Outdoors will take place every Sunday at the new time of 10.30am at Ridgeway Infant School, Uplands Avenue, Littleover. See below for more details…
Jubilee Outdoors are a series of outdoor in-person gatherings for people all over Derby & further afield. Jubilee is a vibrant community shaped by the Spirit, equipped by the Word and sent to the nations. We are a community of people who love God and love each other. We gather on Sundays and in midweek groups, but more importantly, Jubilee Church is about relationships; relationship with God and friendship with each other. We're passionate about meeting with God and connecting with one another like never before in history!
You have found a place to encounter God and people who care about you ❤️ — just as you are.
We are thrilled to be able to begin to gather for in-person meetings! At the moment the safest way for us to do this is through shorter outdoor gatherings (approx. 1hr). We have been able to secure a large playing field at a local infant school to facilitate this. With that in mind please remember to bring appropriate clothing for the weather and you may also want to bring a picnic blanket or some camping chairs to sit on.
Please note that currently everyone entering the site must book in to be allowed to participate, this is so that we can abide by the NHS Test & Trace Programme rules.
Attendees are advised to wear face masks while queuing to register. Please register as individuals maintaining a 2m distance. If you are in a household group, one person should sign in the whole group whilst the rest of the group wait to one side.
Although we will enthusiastically greet you, please do remember that physical contact including hugs, handshakes etc. are currently not recommended!
Whilst there is no parking available on site there is plenty of room to park in surround roads (see the info pack & map below for more). We're pleased to confirm that there is step free access to the site and to the sports field which is grassy with a slight slope. Please note that there is a raised threshold on the door which leads into the toilet facilities. Should you have any questions related to access please do get in touch with the church office who would be happy to discuss any concerns this with you.
We will be following government guidance for places of worship. This means that whilst we will still need to follow current social distancing guidelines, we will be able to sing together! For us to be able to do this we must remain in our 'household bubbles' and maintain a 2m distance.
We love it when people bring prophetic words and other encouragements. If you feel that you have something to share during our meeting there will be a microphone which you can use to bring contributions. Please don't shout from your location!
Each week a group of us will be going over to the nearby park for a socially distanced picnic (current guidance will allow up to 30 people to gather outdoors). This is not a formal part of our service but we're seeing it as a great opportunity for us to gather in smaller groups for lunch!
We will not be taking up a cash offering. If you would like to give into the work of Jubilee Church Derby then please visit: jubilee.org.uk/give
If you are considered to be clinically vulnerable or you are over the age of 70yrs, regardless of medical conditions, currently we would advise you not to attend our in-person gatherings at this time - we recommend you participate online instead by visiting jubilee.org.uk/online please remember our online services will no be commencing at 10.30am to match the timings of Jubilee Outdoors.
Because this is an outdoor event it will proceed weather permitting. If bad weather is forecast, we will make a decision to change to an online only event by 12pm (midday) the day before. We will email all attendees currently registered and close the booking system. We will also try and inform groups via our usual communication channels. If weather changes during the event, we will make an announcement and ask people to leave in an orderly manner row by row.
You may have further questions about how all this will work which is understandable! We've put together a short information pack to give you some further details which you can download here.
We've put together a map to show you parking options and emergency gathering points etc. You can use it to get directions to the site. We hope it helps!
We know that there will still be many people who may not want to join us in-person yet and still others who aren't able to whether for health or other reasons.
Don't worry, our tech team have been hard at work ensuring that we are still able to provide online content each week. So we want to invite you to continue joining us but now at the new time of 10.30am.
We'll be streaming live from Jubilee Outdoors and there will be hosts to greet those who join us online and make you feel welcome! We'd love you to say hello in our chat and if you feel you have an encouragement or God is speaking to you we'd love you to share that with us!
We hope you can join us at 10.30am in person but if you aren't able to for some reason please check out our our service archive here: jubilee.org.uk/youtube.
Nb. During our live-streams on YouTube you will be able to pause, rewind and then continue from where you left off, so if you are a bit late or need to pop out, you can still catch up.
You can catch up on our full pre-record archive from 2020 by clicking here.
You can also catch up on our latest sermons here: jubilee.org.uk/media.
Our church community isn't just aimed at our adult members. We're just as passionate (if not more passionate!!) about our Children & Young People growing in their friendship with Jesus. We want to serve our families during this time of uncertainty. So we will be continuing to make our main Sunday gatherings have sections in it which are accessible for all ages.
Please note that currently there will not be separate children's work. However, our children's team are planning to provide activities for each household to do during our time together.
In the coming weeks we hope to be able to provide a concurrent separate outside Frog Club gathering. We'll keep you up to date through the usual channels.
Our youth team are working hard to keep our young people connected at this time. They've put together a programme of activities throughout the week with teaching, fun activities and social gatherings for our young people.
As part of our preparations for this gathering our team have put together a Risk Assessment which has been signed off by our trustees. If you would like to see a copy please contact the church office.
We're so glad that you are interested in watching one of our online services! Below you will find our Church Online archive which will enable you to watch any of the available full Sunday meetings videos. You'll also find these online at: jubilee.org.uk/watch.
If you like what you see why not join us for church online live at 10.30am & repeated at 7pm on Sundays by visiting: live.jubilee.org.uk.
