On Sunday Layla (from Burton Family Church) spoke about the vows which God makes to His children!

Layla encouraged us:
OK, so earlier this week I was just praising the Lord and in my worship time and when I was kind of finished, I looked up and across the room I saw the vow book that Adam and I are going to write our vows in and it just said his vows, mine wasn't around and it literally just said his.

So I felt like I should write down what God's vows are to us, so His vow is to love us, to honour us, to protect us, to defeat the sin, no matter how shameful you think it is. To hold you together, to be your strength, you can only do it through his strength. To be your provider, to listen to you even if it's you think it's something stupid, He wants to listen and he wants to know you to make you new in His name. To set you free, to take away shame, to save you, to be your refuge, to give you peace and to redeem you. Just give it all to him, He is your father, He loves you so much and He just wants to know you.

So those are some of His promises to His children. Just remember that through the hard times, through the good times, His promises to you, those are His vows to you. He loves you and I love you all and I'm so excited that we're all here together and that this is a family, just keep on remembering that.
