Rejoices Over Us With Singing

On Sunday Sandeep & Graham reminded us that God loves us as His children, that He rejoices over us with singing.

Sandeep shares:
Isn't God good? It's the amazing, as Kat said, no matter what circumstance that we're in, no matter what situation we're in, God sees the plan. His plan is better than our plan! His way is better than our way! He is good, great, is He! I'm sitting at the drums. I'm singing great is our Lord and I'm watching a mum there, kiss her baby, kiss her child, in love with her child.

I'm thinking this great God! This amazing King who finds a way, loves us like a mother, like a father for their baby. How good is our great King upon high? His love, it's like that of a parent to their baby. That's how He sees us church! Like his children, this is a bit weird to say, but “like his babies”. That's how he sees us, this king upon kings, Lord of all Lords, sees us like that!

Let's switch our mindset, let’s changed our perspective, this is how God is for us! Let us come with a childlike love for our father because He sees us, like that.

Father, I pray that as we continue through our week, as we continue through this morning and no matter what circumstance we're in that we know, that you are great and powerful, you are upon high, King of all Kings, Lord of all Lords. We don't deserve your love but yet your love, it's like a parent, it's like a carer; unconditional. You see us as your children! Help us to walk in that way, like childlike abandonment to our King. Help us come with that childlike faith. We believe, we trust, we know that you will look after us, that you will care for us, that your way is better than our way. Thank you, Lord King of All Kings, Lord of all lords. Amen.

Graham carries on from Sandeep:
The verse that goes with Sandeep has just been saying is from Zephaniah 3. “The Lord your God is with you, the mighty warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you. In his love, he will no longer rebuke you but will rejoice over you with singing.”

Just as Sandeep was sharing that wonderful picture there, I was just so stirred, remembering that verse from Zephaniah the Lord, rejoice over you with singing, just like you do with a child like you do with a baby. Lord, thank you that, that's how you see us, Lord, that you rejoice over us with singing!
