You can read the Bible in a year!
Do you desire to read through the whole Bible, but you're not sure where to start, or hesitate because you don't think you'll finish? Do you long to go deeper, setting aside time to spend with God? Reading His word is a great way to get to know God better, hearing from Him and pursuing His ways.
Many leaders encourage us that reading through the whole Bible in a year can be really valuable, but what's the best method? There are lots of different ways to do this, including the Bible In One Year (BIOY) app. However is there a simpler way?
Navigators have a really simple reading plan! You can start on any day of the year and progress from the date you start. The plan itself only has readings for 25 days a month, which means you can catch up on day's you've missed, re-read sections or reflect on passages which God has been speaking to you from.
If the thought of reading the whole Bible in a year is too much, you can alter the plan easily to meet your needs, reading the gospels and wisdom books one year and then the other two categories the following year.
It's also not an app but laid out on a printed A4 sheet which you can fold and pop in your Bible. You simply tick of the passages you've read to keep track of your progress.
Why not give it a go? It's not too late to start.
You can download a copy here, or we have printed copies in the welcome box on Sunday mornings.
Final Thoughts...
If you find the process of reading the Bible really difficult, you aren't alone! May be you just find reading challenging, or you find the very idea of a quiet time a laughable concept! If this is you, why not try listening to an audio version of the Bible? The YouVersion Bible app has a variety of different audio versions available, with different people narrating, so may be you will find a version you are comfortable with!
