On Sunday I shared what the Bible calls a tongue (which you can hear in the video below).
Then Lucy, who was helping to host our meeting, gave a really simple and brief explanation of what that means. She also explained what we should expect when this sort of spiritual gift is brought to the church. Graham then brough an interpretation of the tongue to us in English so that we could all join in.

What David shared just then is what we call a tongue; it’s a new language given to us through the Holy Spirit. When this sort of spiritual gift is given in a corporate setting it’s to encourage the church to worship and to help us lift our eyes to Jesus. So, we’re going to wait now and one of you may have this bubbling feeling in your chest and you think “I feel like I know what he was saying”, if that’s you, come to the front and share it, even if you are not sure, this is to uplift and encourage the church. So, we’re just going to wait in this moment as the Holy Spirit dwells within each of us, we’ll just wait for that interpretation.

I join in the song, the song of the Lamb. I join in the song, to the Great I Am. I join in the song to the King of Kings, and I join in the song to praise His name. I join in the song, the song of the Lamb, I join in the song to the Great I Am, I join in the song to the King of Kings, I join in the song to praise your name! We praise your name! We praise your name! We praise your name!
