On Sunday Rai shared about God being a chain breaker and about spiritual or emotional bruises we've received that God wanted to break the power of.

Rai shares:
God has been speaking to us so clearly this morning and I wanted to link up some of those things. I felt God give me a couple of words to share centred around this whole image of being chained up.

Firstly, in particular, the illustration which Paul used in His preach about the hands you know, you’re doing a job with a chisel and hammer, and you end up missing the chisel and hitting your hand. I’ve got a bruise on one of my fingers because I was doing some work yesterday. I really felt that this was specific for some people here today. That may be some of you who have been around church, and you’ve been heavily bruised by the church or someone in the church, perhaps in particular by leadership and God wants you to know that He doesn’t want you to carry around that bruise in your heart, in your life.

He wants to deal with that this morning in a loving and tender way. He wants to minister to you because He wants you to receive the very best. If you feel that’s for you specifically, I really want to encourage you to come out and we’ll have some people out here at the front and we can pray for you.

Secondly, I also felt that some of us have bruising, there is hurt and pain, but we are just carrying on with life. I hadn’t realised until this morning that my finger was so bad, I couldn’t even bend it. At the time I hadn’t realised I’d hurt my finger but this morning it felt really uncomfortable! I’d lost sensation, I’d lost movement.

I feel there’s some of us here this morning that have been bruised and what we’ve done is just carried on. The pain is still there but we’re ignoring it. If that sounds like you this morning and you are carrying something which you shouldn’t be carrying, then it’s time to give that over to God, give that over to the Father, let Him minister into that area and release you from that pain.

So, I’d encourage you this morning that if God’s spoken to you through what’s been said this morning, through the worship or whatever and you know God is talking to you, please don’t let that opportunity go by, come and get prayer. We believe that God wants to break in and do something in your life this morning as you step out and allow God to minister to you.
