Unless a seed falls to the ground

I wanted to share a picture with you this morning. The picture is of a tree, a great big, strong, sturdy tree. This tree is so full of fruit and there’s been a shaking and some of the fruit has fallen away and dropped to the ground. I’ve just been asking God, look what are you trying to say this morning to us Lord?

This may be a word for you, you need to weigh this out. What I felt the Lord wanted to say was that somehow there has been a shaking in your life, and it seems as though you’ve fallen away from the path from the one who is your Lord and your King, your friend. However, God is saying there’s a way back, there’s a way back.

There’s a scripture which says “unless a seed falls to the ground and dies, it remains by itself but if it dies, it produces much fruit”, it brings new life, and new life comes from the Lord. I believe the encouragement this morning for you is to look once again, not at your circumstances, not at the situations or the people around you, but God is speaking directly to you.

You might feel far, far away from God, but God is still close. We’ve already heard this morning that He will never leave you nor forsake you. So, if that’s your situation, your circumstance, I want to encourage you this morning to simply reach out to God where you are and acknowledge that you need Him, reach out to Him and as you reach out to Him, He will draw close to you.

That might mean getting back into God’s word as Joe was sharing earlier, but I believe this message is for somebody here today and I want to encourage you this morning to reach out to God.
