This term is hugely important for us in relation to small groups because everything is changing! So those of you who like change and like something different this will be a fabulous term. For most of us who don't like change, there may be a few steps we need to take to overcome any hesitancy!
These changes will affect all groups, so it's really important to understand at the outset that all our groups are changing and will now be running on a termly basis. Groups will no longer continue forever but run termly, and we're trying out this new method for a year and then we’ll review it. We hope this will help people engage with groups and allow us to try different types of groups.
To be clear there will still be a number of groups which will look and feel like our classic LifeGroups but you'll still need to sign up to these even if you remain in the same group.
So, there are now two weeks for you to sign up for a group from now until week commencing the 16th of September when our groups will all start.
You can see all the groups that are available by visiting: jubilee.org.uk/lifegroups
If you don't have internet access, don't worry; if you contact the church office or speak to Naomi or me, we'll be able to help you! So, whether you want to still be part of a group that you've been in previously which is continuing, or you'd like to join one of the new termly groups then you need to sign up!
Below is a list of the small groups which are available this term. To register for a group, scroll down the list and click on a group name to complete the sign up details:
Please do sign up for these groups as soon as possible as this will help our group leaders plan and prepare.
When you sign up for a group, you're only committed to being in the group for a term, so you can then think about trying something different next term.
We wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who volunteered to host a new style group, we couldn't fit in all the groups this term, so we've already got some great group suggestions for the spring term!
Not only does this give an opportunity for all of us to try out different groups and meet different people. It also means that it opens up group leadership to those who can't commit to leading a group long term but can manage to do so for a short period and then take a break for a bit. If you've got an idea for a group, you'd like to lead in the future, we'd love to hear about that too. We'll keep you up to date on how you can let us know!
