Psalm 16

I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest secure. Psalm 16:8-9

Elizabeth
In my readings this week I was reading from Psalm 16:8-9 where it says I keep my eyes always on the Lord, with Him at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Therefore, my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices, my body also will rest secure.

I’ve been under a lot of stress lately to the extent that I feel it in my body and this was just so encouraging to me that, not only can I know in my heart and in my mind that God is good and that He is with me, but that he will also give me rest physically, rest in my body as well and I can remain secure in that.

God is so good this morning, in fact, He is good all the time. I really feel a sense that this morning God wants to encourage us. Thank you so much Elizabeth for sharing what was on you heart.

I feel that there are probably many others here this morning that have been struggling and may be life has just got really heavy. But Christ promises us freedom, hallelujah. He promises to take our burdens and He promises to give us rest.

So if you’re in that place where things have just got really on top of you, where you feel a weight or burdened, as the music continues to play and we look to the Lord, just release that to Him and receive His goodness. Thank Him for His goodness and receive His goodness. Expect God to touch you, expect to receive from Him this morning. He wants to bless us, each and every one of us. He understands your circumstances and whatever is overwhelming for us, is a drop in the ocean for Him. So let’s just look to Him and as the music plays, let’s draw closer to God, closer to the Holy Spirit and allow Him to speak to you and bring His goodness to you.
