News from Derby City Mission

We have heard from Derby City Mission that Elle Warrener-Davis, who is part of New Life Church Normanton, Derby, will become the Managing Director of DCM from the 27th of June 2022.
DCM's mission is to bring God's love into the lives of Derby city through working with a range of statutory and local government bodies, churches, and agencies.
Nigel Town, Chair of DCM's Trustees said: “I am delighted that Elle has stepped forward for this new role. Her experience in operational and financial matters crucial to our work will make her an invaluable addition to our team. DCM Trustees and I look forward to working with Elle as she takes up this important leadership position, making an impact for good in the City of Derby. I am also deeply grateful for the invaluable work of our DCM staff team, keeping our vital ministries on track throughout recent months, whose efforts Elle will be supporting and building upon.”
Elle was a senior leader at Burton YMCA, a Christian charity that serves in the areas of youth, homeless and disadvantaged, and has really helped support them through the last few challenging years of the covid pandemic.
Commenting on her move, Elle said:
“Ever since I began working in the charity sector, I have been passionate about growing and developing organisations to benefit individuals and communities. DCM’s mission of “Transforming Lives Together” expresses so well my own heart for walking alongside people, wherever they are in life and opening up opportunity. I have also strived to champion fairness and equality wherever I have worked. I look forward to seeing firsthand how DCM’s ministries impact our City. I will value the support of all your partners, networks of churches, and volunteers, as I seek to work with the DCM team for greater sustainability and impact.”

We'd encourage you to pray for all those at DCM as they go through this transition and for God's blessing on the work they are doing in Derby.
