The new book

A Call to Act is the third book co-authored by Martin Charlesworth and me. It’s published by David C Cook and comes out on 1 September, but is available to pre-order now from all good Christian and secular bookshops. It’s a very practical book about how Christians can live poverty-busting lifestyles – it takes us beyond volunteering in projects, to examining how we live, and the impact this can have not just locally but nationally and even globally.

Social Action Course -  Launches This Month

Jubilee+ has developed a Social Action Course, which has been piloted in two churches. It includes 4 sessions – there are 4 videos with accompanying discussion group questions, as well as a Bible reading plan and a prayer plan. The Jubilee+ Social Action Course will be available from September and is FREE. Individual Christians are welcome to use it, as are small groups and whole churches. There’s an option to purchase extra interactive sessions on Zoom with Jubilee+ team members, but the initial 4 sessions are free and can be used on their own. The link is:

Media Training

It's more important than ever for churches and social action projects to engage with the media effectively. Most of the UK based Newfrontiers teams have had a day's media training from Jubilee+. This fantastic course is now going online.  We’re inviting people to join us from 9am on every Friday in October (for just an hour) to learn how to proactively engage with the media so they put out good stories about your work, how to respond well to media enquiries, how to write a press release, how to handle negative press or social media, etc., etc. The training is just £50 and booking is now open here: Book Now

Churches that Change Communities 2020 - 7th November 2020

This is our 10th annual conference and we’re taking it online for obvious reasons! As the UK heads into a new recession, it’s now even more urgent that Christians and churches are equipped to lift people out of poverty and injustice in their communities. Martin Charlesworth and Rachel Gardner are our keynote speakers (livestreamed on the day from The Message Trust in Manchester) and we’ve got stacks of video content (including a whopping 17 seminars) made specifically for the event. It takes place on Saturday 7 November and booking is now open: Book Now -- it would be great to encourage people to come, taking advantage of not having to travel!
