Summer Sundays 2019

Dear friends,

Summer at Jubilee – Summer Sundays

This Sunday sees the first of our Summer Sundays in Jubilee. This means we will have slightly shorter meetings (10.00am – 11.30am) and that there won’t be any kids work (FROG Club) or creche. There will be some toys out and some craft material available, but please remember that you will need to supervise your children.

I realise that this will be a challenge for some people, but we do feel it is important, and indeed necessary, to give our excellent team of kids workers a break over the summer. They are a small and enthusiastic team who serve faithfully throughout the year. I am very grateful for them, both as a parent and a church leader!

RootID (our youth work) is slightly different. Many of our young people will be at Newday from this Sunday for a week, so there will be no RootID on 28th July or 4th August. RootID will run on the other Sundays as normal.

Serving

If you are regularly part of Jubilee and would be interested in serving in our kids or youth work from September, please have a chat to me or one of the team about what’s involved. We are keen to strengthen all these teams in the autumn. Derek & Chrissy are hosting a BBQ on Sunday 18th August for anyone who would like to find out more about serving in FROG Club, so if you would like to go to this, please contact the  church office.

Picnics

There will be some picnics organised over the summer period after church, so listen out for details on a Sunday or check out our website or social media channels.

Devoted

Finally, don’t forget that the last Sunday in August (the 25th) is when we are away at Devoted. If you’re not able to make it, please note, there will not be any meeting at QUAD on that Sunday. If you would like to book in but haven’t done so yet, you can book in for individual days or the whole weekend at devotedevent.org You will need to book by 31st July in order to camp with Jubilee.

Normal service on a Sunday resumes on Sunday 8th September. Have a great summer!

With much love,

Graham
