Devoted Speakers - Krish Kandiah

Dr Krish Kandiah is President for London School of Theology and Founder and Director of Home for Good a charity seeking to find forever families for children in care in the UK. He is a Vice President for Tearfund and on the faculty at Regents Park College, Oxford University.

Krish and his wife Miriam have authored ten books including “Route 66”, “Twenty-Four”, “Home for Good” and most recently ‘Paraxdology”. Krish lives in Oxfordshire with his wife and four children. Krish is a champion for fostering and adoption and when he has time he likes to blog about it at krishk.com

We were excited to see that Krish Kandiah - one of our seminar speakers at Devoted this summer was on Songs of Praise earlier in the year, talking about Home for Good, the charity which he has founded.

Home for Good
works to equip churches to encourage and support Christian families to consider adoption and fostering.

The presenter Diane Louise Jordan has an adopted daughter herself and said she was "overwhelmed with excitement" at Home for Good's involvement in the recent programme.

Diane said: "This is not just a great idea but a really necessary idea. I passionately want every single church in this country to not just seriously consider this but to actually take it as part of God's mandate for their lives. I think if we are really serious about saying that we're Christians, it's a fundamental thing for us to do. I just don't know how we could actually say all the things we say, and believer all the things that we do, and not take care of the orphans in our midst. We have to do it."

Krish Kandiah noted the significance of highlighting the importance of family on Mother's Day in particular. "We're really excited that Home for Good has the opportunity to talk about the needs of children in Care. This is a fantastic opportunity for people to engage at a heart level as well as a mind level on these really important issues for our nation."
