Community Café & Charity Shop Manager

The Salvation Army at Derby Central are seeking a dynamic and innovative person to manage the Community Café and Charity Shop. Previous experience in a management/supervisory capacity is essential, as the ability to work well with staff and volunteers and dealing efficiently with cash management and financial records.

Key Responsibilities:

Promote the mission and further the aims of The Salvation Army, including being able to offer support, spiritual counsel and prayer to those who request it. Efficiently and effectively manage the Café and Charity Shop, ensuring a high standard of customer service and maximising sales and profitability.

The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, self-motivated and organised. They should be a team player with the ability to deal with a wide variety of people, ensure the café and charity shop are presented attractively and have a working knowledge of health and safety and hygiene standards.
