Derby City Mission - Job Opportunities

Derby City Mission (DCM) is recruiting to the post of City Missionary to work in its Relief of Poverty department. A total of three Full Time posts are being recruited for.

These are not just jobs, but a call to full time Christian ministry. Therefore it is a call to walk in Christ’s path in Christ’s way. City Missionaries work amongst the poorest, the marginalised, the weakest and the least in society. To effectively engage with the work we are responsible for requires a heart for these people and a genuine sense of call to serve them.

Our work ethos: A City Missionary’s life is characterised by merciful love, enduring patience, persistent prayer, longsuffering grace and the willingness to suffer in Christ’s service. Each of the roles requires a Christian vocation and the ability to be flexible to respond to situations in our areas of work that can be mentally, spiritually and emotionally taxing. Pastoral support is offered in recognition of these demands and DCM’s ministries are characterised by prayerful planning and ongoing prayer support.
