Transform Asia Update - Feb 2017

It is a joyful beginning of 2017 for everyone at TransformAsia. God sent us a dedicated team for the eyes mission lead by Dr. Steve and Nicole Kroeger of Fredericksburg, Texas. Our team comprised of an ophthalmologist, an optician, several translators, and a pastor/evangelist. We covered four provinces: Preah Vihear, Odor Meanchey, Banteay Meanchey, and Siem Riep. Each day, we saw on average 170-180 patients that critically need prescription glasses and/or reading glasses. We carefully and professionally examined each of the patients with passion and love. After the patient received their new eye glasses, they moved on to hear our evangelist speak, Pastor Chhay Dear and were given an opporunity to accept Jesus. Praise be to God, there were 172 men and women who publicly professed their faith in Christ. Others were given gospel tracts to take home with them.

I also was privileged to preach to more than 300 people at my brother-in-law’s (Chhom) festivities to honor his elderly mother in Chheu Kreav, Kampong Chhnang. Chhom and his younger brother, Sambo are the only Christians among their 7 siblings; therefore, the festivities were more Buddhist rather than to honor Christ. After much prayers, the other 5 siblings allowed us to do a Christian ceremony with the gospel message and a foot washing to honor their mother. It was a glorious time, where more than 100 ladies were over the age of 80 years old and while the rest of the group was a mix of children all the way up to the age of 80. After the gospel was presented, the entire audience asked that I preach again on the second day of the festivities. With this opportunity, I asked one of our core group leaders, Pastor Heng Narith to preach the message that God laid on his heart to these precious people since he is also from this area. Our goal is to plant another Church in Chheu Kreav in God’s timing.

Please be in prayer for our up-coming We Can Mission. We are going to have two We Can Seminars from February 12 to 21, 2017 in Chhouk, Kampot and Phnom Den, Takeo. We expect a little over 100 participants in each of these seminars.

We can only do all of this through Christ and your obedient to Him by your love and support of TransformAsia. We appreciate you so much for your friendship. “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!” Philippians 4:4

Yours truly in Christ,
Setan Aaron Lee

Prayer Requests
* Setan's health - he is very busy and our assistant Chanthoeun in Cambodia has just had a baby so she is not able to help as much. Prayers for Chanthoeun and her family are appreciated!
* Randa's health-she is doing better, but continued prayer is helpful!
* For the staff working with TransformAsia, we are also on the lookout for locals to help at our more remote areas.
* For our relationships with the Cambodian and U.S. government. New leadership has taken place in both countries, and so we are making new relationships.
* Funding--that we can make contact with churches who support us, but also make new relationships with other churches.
* For groups that are inquiring about working with us for short term missions--pray for them as they are fund-raising and that they will be an impact to the people of Cambodia.
