Derby Churches Nightshelter is the largest ecumenical project in the city. It looks to serve the street homeless of Derby with overnight accommodation, a meal, breakfast, love, care and a listening ear from 1st Dec-31st March.
All you need to get involved is 3 hours spare a fortnight for this 4 month period. We can then find a place of serving for you. Your availability can be in the evening or the daytime, come along to one of our training and information evenings to see how you can get involved, and be part of making a difference and serving some of the most vulnerable people in our community.
If you are new to Derby Churches Nightshelter then we need you to come along on one of the following evenings. This is so we can take you through some basic awareness and training and also to complete some paperwork, it is a great way of finding out what is involved and how you might get involved. If you are a returner you are more than welcome to come for a refresher.
