God's Love

On Sunday Paul reminded us that we need to understand that as Children of God, we are deeply loved by Him.

Paul shared:
As we're singing this song, I'm reminded of the children earlier, blowing for all their worth down the straws, trying to move one of these ping pong pongs. Here we have the God in heaven, I don't think He needs to push and blow that hard, ok, but His Spirit is here this morning.

I get the feeling that some people here are a bit like the ping pong ball or the child blowing for all their might. You are desperate, saying “I want something of you, I want to know something of that, more of that Spirit, Lord. I really need more of you, Lord! I want to sense that Spirit, because I don’t feel it at the moment.

I also get the sense that others here are working really hard at it, as if you’re blowing yourself because actually you’re not seeing things move in your life. I know God is blowing through this place this morning by His Spirit, with His truth, through the words that we’re singing. Some of us need to pause and wait on Him. That we would know this morning how incredible it is, that God by His Spirit is revealing His wonderful love for you this morning. He wants you to know His wonderful love for you, He knows you by name, He knows when you were born, He knows when you went to school, He knows where you’ve worked. He know’s the relationships you’ve had and His love for you this morning is immense.

By His spirit, He wants you to know that, not that it’s an idea but that it’s a truth. That He loves you, truly, truly loves you and the Spirit of God wants to make that more real to you this morning. “You really do love me, Lord; you really do love me, Lord.

Why don’t you just let that sink into your heart this morning, into your spirit this morning. “I really do love you, and I am with you, always, always. I will never leave you or forsake you, always. I am your ever-present help in times of need or trouble, always, because I love you this morning!
