Food parcels project - an update

The Faith Hope and Enterprise Company Ltd provides supported housing for some of the most marginalised members of society. Their exclusion may be due to general homelessness issues, drug or alcohol misuse, former offending behaviour or mental health concerns.

Faith Hope and Enterprise develop mentoring relationships with residents to help them identify and achieve their goals in life. The approach places a high value on these relationships which sometimes last for many years. A number of people have come to know Jesus as their Saviour through their contact with the company.

Sometimes residents struggle financially. When they first take their accommodation they may not be in receipt of any benefits and this can take several weeks to resolve. People also lose benefits through changes in their circumstances, previous debts, crisis loans or former offending behaviour.

Jubilee Church and Faith Hope and Enterprise are partnering together to provide food parcels to such people in their time of need. Please consider spending £1 or buying one item of non-perishable food or household essentials every time you do a regular shop. If you give these items to your LifeGroup co-ordinator it will distributed to those in need.

We are also working together to help make a house a home. If you have any household items in good condition which your are replacing, please consider passing them on to your co-ordinator. We have already received a number of paintings, towels, bedding and a television and free view box. These items help people to settle into their accommodation, feel safe, valued and secure.

For more information please speak to Kevin and Melanie Gill or your LifeGroup co-ordinator.

Thoughts on the meeting for church members last night

What a great evening we had last night! It was longer than I expected, probably as there was a lot of news to share. However, it was great to gather with other church members who have said that they are committed to Jubilee Church and are passionate about seeing God work through us.

I am really looking forward to having David Ash join our staff team at the beginning of August. It will be great to have him in the office, taking on overseeing our administration, communications, events and lots more.

We will share more news from last night on this blog in the coming weeks.

Thanks to everyone who came - it is a privilege and joy to serve God with you.

If you are regularly part of Jubilee Church and want to know more about what it means to be a member of the church, please contact the office at and we would love to chat with you about it.
