Global Day of Prayer - 29th September

Global Day of Prayer - 29th September, Wembley Stadium

Derby City Vision are hiring 2 x 50 seater coaches for the Global Day of Prayer in London. The organisers are expecting over 80,000 Christians from across the nation to gather and pray for our nation.

This will be the largest prayer meeting our nation has ever known. It will be an historic opportunity for the church of the British Isles from every denomination, stream, and tradition to unite at Wembley Stadium to pray for our nation.

The programme will be full of praise, intercessory prayer for our nation, teaching, and spiritual impartation. The key focus of the day will be to jointly seek God’s Kingdom for our nation and release the church into mission, to share the Gospel with millions of people and pray for the transformation of all sectors of society.

For more information about the event please visit: www.gdoplondon.com  or you can view the flyer here.

If you would like to go by coach please contact the church office: info@jubilee.org.uk

Derby House of Prayer - 24/7 Prayer Week - DCM

Derby House of Prayer - 24/7 Prayer Week - 4th-10th June 2012

Derby City Mission are hosting a 24/7 prayer week, the week of the Queens Jubilee, 4-10 of June to pray for our City, the Nation, and the Nations.

We will be praying for our City, the Nation, and the Nations. We will be running a 24/7 prayer room, an interactive prayer wall and labyrinth in our Car Park. This is so that children, families and youth can come along, book a slot and come and pray for whatever is on your heart.

So maybe you would like to book an hour as an individual, or maybe a small group, youth group or childrens workers would like to come and find creative ways to pray or just come and sit in Gods presence.

I believe that this is a Kairos time to be praying for Gods purposes in our nation, never in all my time have I seen such a rising tide of prayer… Just down the road churches in Stoke on Trent have been praying 24/7 since January the 1st and are seeing amazing breakthroughs in their City. Similar things are happening in Sheffield and one church baptised 1300 new believers in a year… Since the 24/7 prayer has started in HTB, growth is exploding…We all know the keys to growth… prayer and proclamation of the Gospel.

I believe this is Derbys turn… I believe there is so much power when churches from different denominations join together and pray “your Kingdom come your will be done in our nation…”

WHOSE EARTH? - June 2012

WHOSE EARTH? In 1992 the worlds biggest ever political gathering – the Rio Earth Summit – marked one of the first times that world leaders met to discuss the environment.

Twenty years later, they are meeting again for Rio+20 to see how well they have done – and how much more they need to do.

We share a world where consumption by the wealthiest directly affects the life and death of the poorest people.

Environmental issues, including climate change, are devastating lives and Gods good creation.

Our faith reminds us that God created the world, but we have often failed to care for it as we should. The problems often seem insurmountable, as greed and injustice appear to reign. However, our faith also gives us hope that change is possible.

Come along to a Whose Earth? event to examine Christian responses to environmental issues, including:

• the Bible basis

• the science behind the issues

• how we can all play a part in responding, including calling on decision-makers to   act to eradicate poverty in a way that protects the environment.

All events start at 7.30pm and will include free refreshments.

I would like to invite you to join us this summer for North 2012 and what promises to be a great weekend of being friends together, encountering God, hearing gifted apostolic teaching and receiving Gods empowering presence for all He is calling us to.

We are really looking forward to North 2012 (23rd -27th August) which this year hosts’ speakers including David Devenish, Dave Holden, Adrian Holloway and Jeremy Simpkins. Excitement is growing as we consider what God may do amongst us this year, as we gather in North Yorkshire for this increasingly significant event in the North of the UK. David Devenish will expand our vision for the nations and Dave Holden will bring a fatherly word to us in this time of transition within Newfrontiers. Adrian Holloway will be preaching the gospel and training us in praying for the sick whilst Jeremy Simpkins will be leading us in encountering God and stirring us to go for all that God has called us to. Adrian will also be the main speaker in the Amplify (youth) venue.

Let me encourage you – don’t miss it! Get booked in before the 30th April to ensure you get the Early Bird prices and save up to £30. Book online today!
