Newfrontiers

Jubilee Church is part of Newfrontiers. Historically, we have described Newfrontiers as an international family of churches working together, under the apostolic leadership of Terry Virgo. More recently, Newfrontiers has become a group of families of churches, led by several apostolic leaders, all of whom have their own teams and spheres of ministry. There are currently over 850 churches around the world that work with a number of different Newfrontiers teams.

For us here in Derby, we relate to Jeremy Simpkins and his team, who lead what is currently called Newfrontiers North UK. This team serves around 70 churches in the North Midlands, the North of England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Canada, Norway and Zambia. Jeremy leads Christ Central Manchester and is also part of the Newfrontiers UK Apostolic Team.

The prophetic word to Newfrontiers to believe that we can do “more together than we can apart” still rings in our ears and encourages us to work with other apostolic spheres within the wider Newfrontiers family.

Jeremy and his team host an annual conference called North, which in 2011 gathered around 2,500 people for a weekend of Bible teaching, worship and ministry. Speakers included Terry Virgo, Guy Miller and Jeremy Simpkins. You can download the talks from the weekend here.

Newfrontiers churches, wherever they are have a passionate commitment to build the church according to New Testament principles, and believe that the most effective form of evangelism is worked out from strong local churches. Churches where each member participates, the gifts of the Spirit are outworked, where there is joy in caring one for the other, where there is a desire to make a difference in society and to reach those in need.
